October Newsletter

Our Back To School Bash went very well!!  Thanks to Nancy Osborn and all those volunteers who worked hard to make it so fun for the kids!

Thank you to Julie Brown who put up many leaves on our "Turn Off the TV Week" trees.  There were so many different activities listed on the leaves---good for you kids!!

Don't forget that this week is WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK!  Put those car keys down, let the bus pass you by and get a little exercise by walking to school this week!

October 3-7  SEP Week: Make sure you don't miss your meetings with teachers!!
BOOK FAIR: Watch for the handout with the hours posted.

October 4th   Wendy's Fundraiser: Come help us raise some money for our school--it's fun and easy! All you have to do is come to our Cedar City Wendy's to eat dinner or buy dessert between 5 and 8 p.m. October 4th.  You can go inside the restaurant or just use the drive-thru.  It's THAT simple!! Look for the reminder sticker on your child that day after school.

October 25-28  Red Ribbon Week: watch for information to come home with your child

November 11th   Reflections are Due! The theme this year is "Diversity Means". You or your child can pick up a packet in the office with all the details.

November 14-18  Green Ribbon Week:  Walk-A-Thon will take place during PE classes. There will also be activities to raise awareness about safety.

Keep collecting and turning in your Box Tops!  Make sure your Smith's card is linked to South Elementary, too.  Let's keep supporting these easy fund raisers!

Flouride Rinse began September 19th and is now every Monday morning.  If you signed your child up for this service, make sure to remind them to go to the gym before school to rinse.  If you'd like to sign your child up, get in touch with Leah Brown.
